Conversion Quicken Style

Convert The File - there's really no escaping at this point. Quicken wants to convert the file you gave it, as it should. This is natural, and you expect you're less then a minute away from a fully functional new Quicken program. WRONG!. But, you'll need to find that out for yourself, and like I said, there's no getting around this. What it's doing other than tossing out stuff that used to work, I have no idea.

Note that Q2009 here is telling you it will make a backup! Now, I'm sure it does that correctly, but I just don't trust it, which is why I've been insisting on carrying a backup along for the ride. I've reverted to my original backup at least 15 times now, and I know it works. So, use this quicken backup at your own risk.

Hit OK

Quicken and Windows, beautiful together. This is Windows displaying a progress message box during the conversion process, which it does not allowed to be captured properly for your personal edification, so you'll have to use your imagination:

Quicken Kisses my A$$ by Telling me I'm a High Roller - I'm not sure why Q2009 thinks $5000 in a savings account is all that noteworthy. I was thinking maybe it was trying to tell me at 45 years old, I better step it up. But, no, it's definitely saying I've got too much money. Oh well, this was the first thing it told me after running its conversion. Maybe you'll not be so lucky, or better yet, get some other useless message. I'm not sure how many of these I'll put up with before choosing the Don't show this type of alert as a popup option, but I'm sure the answer is "Not Many". Hit OK since I obviously have no other choice.

What A Shock - here's another one. So, the answer to my previous dilemma is: "2". Hit OK again, and let's get on with it.
